CONDITIONS OF SALE.
CATALOGUE
I.—The highest bidder 10 be the Purchaser; and if any dispute arise between two or more bidders, the Lot in dispute shall be put up again for competition ; the Auctioneer, as a protection to the interests of the bona-fidt Bidder and the Kxposei, reserving to himself the right to accept or reject the Hiddings of previous defaulters and others.
II.—The Lots to bs sold with all faults and errors of description, and without any Warrandice whatsoever. It being obviously impracticable for the Auctioneer to acquire an intimate knowledge of the minutiae and techni­calities of every Lot he sells, the Buyers ought to examine and satisfy them­selves, and shall be held to have satisfied themselves, as to the condition, quality, and description of the Lots before Bidding, and as to the quantities before Remova.', as no allowance will be made for alleged discrepancies after the lots have been delivered.
III.—In the case of Lots upon which there is a reserve, the Auctioneer shall have the right to bid on behaif of the Seller, in terms of" The Sale of (joods Act, 56 and 57 Vict., ch. 71, sec. 58."
IV.—The Purchasers shall give their Names ami Addresses, ami pay a Deposit of Pive Shillings in the Pound, in part-payment, if required ; and the remainder of the Purchase-Money must be paid immediately after the Sale, and before any of the Lots are Removed, and no Delivery shall be held as completed until the full Purchase-Money shall have been paid. If one person purchases two or more Lots the prices of all must be paid before the delivery of any.
V.—The Lots shall remain at the Buyers' entire risk and expense from the moment of Sale, and shall be taken Delivery of at the Buyer's expense and risk, whether genuine and authentic or not. not later than Day of Sale, unless a further extension of time is specially arranged for—Messrs. Ron r. M'Tbar & Co., Ltd., not being responsible for the correct description, genuineness, or authenticity of any Lot, and making no Warranty whatever.
VI.—AH Accounts for Purchases at this Sale not settled in accordance with these Conditions, shall be charged a Commission of 2%. per Cent., and interest at the rate of 5 per Cent, per annum, from date of Sale till Payment.
VII.—Upon failure of complying with the foregoing Conditions, the Deposit Money shall be forfeited ; all Lots unsettled for within the time specified may be Removed and Stored, or Re-sold either by Public or Private Sale, or otherwise disposed of, without any intimation to the defaulter; and the deficiency, it any, and all expenses attending the same, shall be made good by such defaulter, and shall be receivable as and for liquidated damages from said defaulter, who shall not be entitled to any benefit arising from the Re-Sale.
VIII.—A. II. Smith, Auctioneer (whom failing, any of the Auctioneers of Robt. M'Tear & Co., Ltd.), is herehv named judge of the Sale, with full powers to regulate the advance on the biddings, to declare the Purchasers, and to settle all Disputes, and his award, whether written or verbal, shall be final and binding on all Parties at this Sale, who, by the act of offering or accepting Biddings under these Conditions concur in and agree to abide by them.

CRAIGENDS, by JOHNSTONE, RENFREWSHIRE
CRAIGENDS HOUSE is situate approximately l£ miles from JOHNSTONE and about 15 miles from Glasgow. Motorists from Glasgow should proceed via Paisley and Lin wood (A761) until they come to the roundabout at Merchiston, where they proceed on the Langbank Road (B789) towards Houston-Crosslee Station. A few hundred . yards beyond the Station the road swings sharp left and the road to Craigends House is first right (un-signposted) thereafter. The wall of the estate appears on the left about 500 yards along this road and the arched entrance is a further 500 yards along.
The contents of Craigends House will be on view to the Public on Saturday, 21st, and Monday, 23rd October, from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. Admission to the House will be conditional on production of Catalogue (price 1/-) admitting two persons to the view and one person to the sale, to be obtained from the Auctioneers, or at the House on View Days-No delivery of purchases will be given on the sale day with the exception that small articles for which cash is paid immediately may be taken possession of, during the sale. Delivery of all other purchases will commence at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, 25th, and will be continued on Thursday and Friday, 26th and 27th October. The hours of Delivery will be from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m. each day.
The books in the Library are not for sale.
Buyers of window curtains will note that the fittings are not being sold with them.
Purchasers will be held responsible for any damage which may be done by them, or by any person in their employment, in the removal of their purchases.
