Alexandrina McBean

Alexandrina had an illegitimate Daughter who she named Mary. She was born in 1893 in Glasgow and in fact has two birth certificates with identical information except for the address, one saying a Hospital in St Rollox District and the other Gorbals Blackfriers. Her address at that time was given as Port Dundas.

Alexandrina married my Gt Grandfather Peter Taylor in 1896 and [her illegitamite daughter] Mary took on the Taylor name, but sadly she died aged 12 years. [...] [Alexandrina] was married at Craigends Gardens, on 15th September 1896 but her usual residence was given as Castlemilk Carmunnock and her occupation was Laundrymaid. The Minister was George Lang M.A. Free Church Minister of Houston and Mary McBean, I presume Alexandrina's sister, was a Witness.
